Some of the recording studio services I offer are: recording, producing, mixing, mastering,
editing (Pro Tools/Nuendo/Cubase), vocal coaching and production,
song arranging & programming, songwriting critique & guidance, and just about any other aspect of recording & audio production imaginable…
and maybe some that's unimaginable… and maybe even occasionally
Whether you only have a rough idea (or no idea!) of how your song should sound and need me to play, program, and arrange all of the music for you, or whether you know exactly how your song should sound and have all the musicians you need - or anything in between - I can help you. No matter what you come in here with, I will make sure that you leave with a radio-ready production. At Studio Ray you will have all of the latest production tools at your disposal, and you will be able to record, work & mix on an unlimited number of tracks – songs containing 150 to 200 tracks or more are not uncommon.
A Word About Vocals:
We all love our slammin’ beats, loud guitars,
thumping basses etc., but in the end the most important
part of any song is the vocals. Vocal coaching and production is one of my strongest
areas of expertise – I can completely guide and coach you vocally,
and help to arrange & create all vocal parts and harmonies. Many artists who've had their music made elsewhere come to me for tracking their vocals because of the quality of my vocal production. Are you serious about recording vocals? Then take a look at my recording vocals page.
I use the best digital tools for mastering, including Universal Audio's UAD software and Wavelab, as well as the BEST of all tools: years and years of EXPERIENCE in giving songs the finishing touch that allows them to stand out on the radio! Check out my mastering page for more details. And if you aren't sure exactly what mastering is or why it's necessary for a "radio ready" product, please take a look at my what is mastering? page.
My producer skills include
such things as pop arrangements, rock production, RnB production, acoustic
recording, hip-hop mixing, vocal production, and a lot of things in between. But they do
NOT include every possible musical style and genre. Please call or
and I'll give you an honest answer as to whether I feel that as a producer I can help your particular project.
Although I play a number of instruments myself, if necessary, additional musicians for your project can be provided for an additional cost (depending on the musician). I personally know scores of the best players in NYC and can easily hire the right musicians to get the sound you want. Any instruments which I play myself are provided at no additional cost.
Mixing Tracks From Another Studio
If you need a "WOW" mix for tracks that you recorded at another recording studio, or even at home, I can provide that for you for almost any genre of music - provided of course that the original tracks are properly recorded.
Lastly, when you are ready and have booked your session, please visit the recording studio tips page for some very helpful insights and tips on getting the most from your session.
